About Hogwarts Legacy on PC

Hogwarts Legacy is remembered less for its frame rate than for its hitching. The castle and Hogsmeade stream a lot of geometry quickly, and on 8 GB cards with high textures the result is a stutter that no amount of GPU power fixes. Getting the texture setting inside your VRAM budget is the whole game here.

Ray-traced reflections are the other trap. They are among the most expensive options in any PC release of their generation and give very little back in a game played mostly in daylight interiors and countryside.

Covers the Unreal Engine 4 PC build. Hogsmeade and the castle interiors are the reference scenes because of their streaming load.
